Postponing ContainerDays 2020
Dear ContainerDays Community,
Unfortunately, we have to inform you that ContainerDays from June 22-24, 2020 cannot take place as planned due to the current situation and regulations relating to the spread of Covid-19.
ContainerDays stand for an engaging place where container enthusiasts gather and network with each other and we stay optimistic, full of hope and motivation to be able to hold a live conference this year. Therefore, we decided to postpone ContainerDays. The new date – probably in Q4 – will be announced in the coming weeks.
The health, safety, and wellbeing of our crew including attendees, speakers and partners are our highest priority. Nonetheless, in challenging times like these we need to stay optimistic and think positive. As it gets overwhelming for all of us, you now probably have some questions. Let’s try to sort some out:
What to do when I have registered for ContainerDays?
Your registration will be automatically updated to the new event date. So nothing to do on your side.
If you wish to cancel your registration, that’s totally fine. Nevertheless, we hope you will join us for the postponed conference. In case of cancellation please email email@example.com by naming your booking code and name.
What to do when I got accepted as a speaker?
We are planning to keep speakers with their sessions we have accepted so far. As soon as we know the new date, each speaker needs to reconfirm their talk via our CFP tool sessionize.
If you are unable to attend on the new date, we will backfill your talk from the waitlist. In this case we offer the opportunity to record your talk and publish it on the ContainerDays-Youtube-Channel. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if cannot make it to the new date.
What to do when I am sponsoring ContainerDays?
The event team will reach out to all sponsors separately in the coming days and clarify the next steps. We hope that all sponsors will be able to work with the new date.
I have other questions?
We are happy to answer all your questions. Just send an email to email@example.com
At the end we would like to thank you all for your patience, trust and support in the past few weeks and years. These times are new for all of us. Therefore, continue to support each other in the community, wash your hands, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
